Our Crate Handling System offers automation in the reception area. The stacked crates are manually loaded onto the conveyor system, after which they are conveyed to automatic destacking, crate washing and crate stacking. The automation enables crates to be constantly fed to the shackling area and optimize the slaughter line utilization
We offer complete crate handling systems in a variety of layouts that are easily integrated into your existing production lines. The system is designed to handle a variety of crate sizes, and two or three stacks of crates with four to 10 crates in each stack.
In the reception area, roller conveyors transport the full crates to automatic destacking saving workers for the manual work. The smooth movements during destacking and conveying reduce bird stress and ensures constant feeding of birds to the shackling area – a necessity to optimize slaughter line utilization.
The Crate Handling System is a wear-resistant system designed for daily use and washdown. The robust constructions of the belt and chain conveyors ensure reliable daily production and low cost of ownership.
It offers tips on how to avoid bird injuries during catching and loading.
UniLoad is a modular and scalable reception system suitable for all capacities. The size of the UniLoad drawer allows for more birds in each drawer while still protecting animal welfare. Fewer drawers are necessary and conveyors can run at low speed while still feeding a high-speed slaughtering line. Low speed reduces both bird and equipment stress.
UniLoad takes hygiene seriously by focusing on biosecurity in drawer and module design and by providing highly efficient cleaning equipment for the reception system. To avoid cross-contamination between flocks, the bacterial load on the transport equipment is minimized by thorough wash-down after each live bird load.
Soaking the drawers before washing helps the debris to come loose and be removed more easily in the drawer washer
Separate drawer washing for the best cleaning results
Effective module washing before introducing the clean drawers into the modules and picking up a new bird load
Crate washing is performed in three steps:
High-pressure water pumps ensure optimal water
pressure during washing and the separator drums separate the offal from the water before the water runs down into the reservoir. The washer is available in different lengths to best fit your line speed.
