The inauguration of the most advanced poultry processing plant at the Pacific marks a significant milestone in Ecuador’s agricultural sector. This cutting-edge facility, a joint effort from BAADER and Avícola San Isidro (AVISID), exemplifies our shared commitment to innovation, food security, and sustainability.

Following the technical opening in July, the official inauguration was celebrated with distinguished guests, including the Ecuadorian minister of Agriculture and Livestock , Danilo Palacios, Minister of Production, Luis Alberto Jaramillo, the director of CONAVE (Organisation of Ecuadorian poultry producers), Diana Espin and BAADER's CEO, Petra Baader, who said: “This facility, in this vibrant region, is more than just a factory – it symbolizes the strength of collaboration and high-tech innovation “.

Under the visionary leadership of AVISID founder and owner Xavier Anhalzer, the project was made possible through collaborative efforts between Ecuadorian and German partners. At BAADER, we are proud to be part of Ecuador’s transformation within the global food supply chain. This new facility will not only enhance poultry production capabilities but also contribute to Ecuador’s food security by creating jobs, boosting local economies, and ensuring the sustainable growth of the agriculture sector.

This state-of-the-art plant symbolizes more than just an advanced facility; it represents a commitment to future generations. Together, we are driving the future of sustainable food production, bringing together the best of Ecuador’s potential and global expertise. We look forward to further collaboration and innovation that will solidify Ecuador’s position in the global food supply chain.

As Petra Baader said in her speech: “At BAADER, with a family-owned history of 105 years, lead in the third generation, we believe in supporting those who serve the world with food and proteins. Today marks another step in that mission. We look forward to the future of Ecuador with excitement and gratitude.”
