Immediately after stunning, the Killing Machine performs a precise and fast cut on one or both sides of the neck. The efficiency of the neck cut significantly affects animal welfare and product quality. Both too deep or too shallow a cut will cause downstream problems such as increased feather retention, venting difficulties and insufficient bleed-out. Choose the killing machine that best fit your local cutting requirements.
Market conditions and stunning method will determine your best-fit kill cut. We offer two killing machines to ensure a solution that suits your processing. Both killing machines perform a quick and accurate cut.
The Killing Machine 052 is offered with one or two circular blades to automatically cut veins and arteries on one or both sides of the neck while the trachea and oesophagus remain intact. The in feed guide rail slightly turns each head and positions the neck correctly before cutting in order to achieve optimum cutting performance. The machine can easily be height adjusted on a hand-operated shaft according to the processed flock size.
The Killing Machine 2320 performs an effective throat cut at all processing speeds. The controlled positioning of the birds’ heads creates a highly accurate and uniform frontal cut severing the carotid arteries and jugular veins. This maximizes bleed-out and ensures a fast permanent loss of brain function.
We have local and global experts ready to advice you on everything from live bird handling to final product management.
