Creating a Common Understanding of Food Processing

Aug 26, 2022

1,000 participants were watching when our colleagues from Denmark gave a presentation on the BAADER Slaughter Line via WeChat to Chinese customers. The presentation was held in English and translated into Chinese to attract local food processors. “China is a very important market for us”, says Gero Heeschen, CSO BAADER Poultry. “With chicken being a lower-cost protein alternative, its popularity keeps increasing. As such, food processors are eager to match the demand. With our online training, we want to help educate them on how to build the best possible plants.” The online training is specifically designed for the requirements of the local market. “We do each of our presentations in close alignment with our colleagues on-site as it is our motivation to provide all the information our target group needs”, says Torben Tanggaard, Training and Development Manager BAADER. At the end of the session, many questions were asked – which led to a fruitful exchange between our colleagues from BAADER as well as the online participants. “The detail of the questions gave us great insights on the difficulties the local food processors are facing as well as how professionally they are equipped. We were quite amazed by their broad expertise”, adds Torben.

This was the first out of three online presentations about this particular line, and more are planned to come about further topics. Soon, in Egypt, our colleagues will provide training on the specifics of halal slaughtering. The idea of these worldwide trainings is on the one hand to get in touch with our customers and collaborate with them on specific topics and on the other hand to create a greater common understanding of the future of processing.
