NEW DESIGN PRINCIPLES

North-Atlantic expertise meets German engineering

The BAADER 189 Pro is built on the principles of German engineering and ingenuity and Icelandic craftmanship. The collaboration has resulted in a sophisticated, updated version of the classic, hardworking BAADER 189. The Pro machine is designed to take on the challenges of a demanding modern market and deliver improvement in production yield and higher operational efficiency.

MACHINE DETAILS

The first efficient, mass-produced filleting machine of the seventies becomes a game changer

In 1970, BAADER released the BAADER 189 filleting machine, an application that revolutionized the industry at the time and became a standard machine found in factories around the world. Efficient, automatic whitefish filleting had become a reality. Gone was the labor intensive, time consuming, manual filleting. Instead, a robust, reliable workhorse took over that could produce fillets consistently with more accuracy, speed and yield than possible before. The method and mechanics designed by BAADER became the template for subsequent machines created by competitors across the board.

Let’s grow together

BAADER has always been flexible in supporting individual enterprise. Merging German engineering skills, BAADER Iceland’s decades of experience working with the machine became an ideal opportunity to meet new customer requirements in the competitive, modern whitefish industry. The result is the BAADER 189 Pro, a modern machine, equipped with dynamic belly knife, digital operational system and a more ergonomic, streamlined design that minimizes the need for spare parts and service.

BAADER’s acquisition of Icelandic manufacturer Skaginn 3X further strengthened the North Atlantic alliance. Located in the hub of modern whitefish processing, Skaginn 3X has decades of experience fabricating machines that are robust, reliable and able to withstand the harsh conditions of the fish processing environment. Quality craftmanship, precision engineering and solid manufacturing experience make the Icelandic factory ideal for the production of the new BAADER 189 Pro.

Active cutting tools for belly, back and severing cut guarantees a careful handling.
BAADER 189 Pro  delivers a cleaner cut with better yield than before for a wider range of sizes.
The well proven and reliable saddle transport system, guarantees a higher yield and a better meat quality as no processing forces are transferred to the fillets.
