At BAADER in Germany, you have the best opportunities to follow the path that perfectly suits you and your strengths. Whether it’s an apprenticeship or a dual study programme, you’ll find everything you need for a long-term future with us.
With a technical apprenticeship with us, you will learn how to move the world of food processing forward with mechanical expertise.
With a commercial apprenticeship, we make you fit in everything you need to be able to operate successfully in a company.
Does theory make more sense to you when it is applied? Do you want to gain a lot of practical experience alongside your studies and apply what you have learnt directly?
Skilled in and dedicated to Production and in the Field
Have you always been fascinated by technology and manual work? Great! Our technical apprenticeships are the best way to prepare you for designing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing our equipment and products. With a technical apprenticeship with us, you will learn how to move the world of food processing forward with mechanical expertise.
Your options for a technical apprenticeship with us include the following:
The name says it all: mechatronics technicians deal with mechanics and electronics. They design components, assemble them into complex systems and programme their controls. They are in demand in almost all technical areas of our business.
Industrial mechanics are needed wherever mechanical, pneumatic or electrical components have to be manufactured, installed, tested, repaired or converted. For those who like to travel and be on the move globally, this job offers exciting opportunities at BAADER.
Technical product designers specializing in machine and plant design are involved in the development of processing machines to solutions and entire plants. They create three-dimensional data models and technical documentation for components and assemblies.
Machinists use CNC machine tools to produce precision components for our assembly. They set up lathes and modify CNC machine programs for this purpose. Then they clamp metal parts and tools in machines, align them, set the work process in motion and check the quality. In the event of malfunctions, they determine the causes with the help of test procedures and take remedial action.

In this apprenticeship you will get to know all the processes involved in goods movement at BAADER:goods receipt, goods storage, goods transfer, order picking, and dispatch with the aim of later independently receiving, checking and properly storing goods. This job also includes compiling deliveries and route plans and loading and dispatching goods.
Since BAADER trains beyond its own needs, we are a big team and, we get along great!
Do you enjoy business thinking and commercial processes? Would you like to learn more about them and understand the processes from production planning to sales and service and what role software plays in this?
With a commercial apprenticeship, we make you fit in everything you need to be able to operate successfully in a company.
In this formation, you will get to know many different areas of the company, because industrial clerks support company processes from order initiation to customer service. The areas vary and can be in Sales, Logistics, Service or Accounting. You should have an aptitude for German and English as well as mathematics.
In this formation, everything revolves around the development of software. IT specialists plan, design and programme applications and develop user-friendly interfaces. Various programming languages and developer tools are used. You install software applications and put them into operation and provide maintenance and IT support.
Things are always busy at BAADER which means you can really contribute to the departments you are assigned to. And you can influence where in the company you want to spend your training time, and that might even be abroad.
Does theory make more sense to you when it is applied? Do you want to gain a lot of practical experience alongside your studies and apply what you have learnt directly?
If you want to give your professional development a basis of practical relevance and theoretical knowledge, a dual-study programme is just the thing for you. Time-limited, compact study units at the universities alternate with practical phases in the company and enable you to apply your knowledge directly.
Your options for dual studies include the following:
How do technical decisions affect business processes? Industrial engineers learn to understand and design technical processes, to develop constructive solutions for technical problems, to recognize the effects of technical decisions on business processes, and to make and implement product and market decisions. The study programme takes place in collaboration with the Nordakademie Elmshorn. See website.
Knowledge about the development, construction and production of complex machines and systems is taught with the aim of later working where machines are used and monitored, new machines are developed and built, and production processes are organized and optimized. This includes methods of construction and production technology, often together with simulation and information technologies (CAD systems). In addition, your skills for solution-oriented processing of practical engineering tasks are developed. The programme takes place in collaboration with the TUHH in Hamburg. See website.
With a focus on production and automation engineering, this programme teaches the combined baseline of mechanical engineering and the electronic systems. Knowledge about development, construction and manufacturing of complex machines and systems is taught with the aim of later working where machines are used and monitored, new machines are developed and built, and production processes are organized and optimized. See website.
Knowledge about the development, construction and production of complex machines and systems is taught with the aim of later working where machines are used and monitored, new machines are developed and built, and production processes are organized and optimized. The special feature of this study model is the integration of an apprenticeship into the study programme. There are 12 different apprenticeships to choose from. The study programme takes place in collaboration with the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences. See website.
It’s motivating to see that many former dual students now hold important positions in various areas and locations at BAADER. It shows that there are long-term career opportunities here.
