Fully automated high-speed packing

Production Flexibility and Single Fish Traceability

The BAADER 1870 Wholefish Grader sorts the incoming gutted fish into bins and drops a portioned amount of fish into boxes via a takeaway conveyor and a filling station. Each box is automatically packed with fish from both of the distribution conveyors to give the correct head-tail orientation.

The grader can either be used as a stand-alone machine or combined with the BAADER 1570 Speed Feed System to give a highly automated system. The BAADER 1870 Wholefish Grader can handle high capacities of up to 160 fish per minute.

The BAADER 1870 Wholefish Grader allows for Single Fish Tracking that can include additional information, such as the k-factor, digital images from the BAADER 144 Gutting Machine. Such information is collected and attached to the individual boxes leaving the packing line.

Dynamic Bin Allocation controls the number of bins automatically, in accordance with the fish size. This feature ensures that the necessary quantity of bins available for the current production.

The BAADER 1870 Wholefish Grader can be incorporated into a complete system that can include a check weighing solution with Late Order Binding. With such a system, the empty boxes entering the line are tracked by QR code, then weighed for tare weight, fish weight and ice weight, before being labelled and moved into the palletizing area.

No weighing scales are needed as individual fish weights have already been taken inside the BAADER Gutting Area and tracked with the fish. The BAADER 1870 Wholefish Grader handles up to 160 fish per minute.
