Creating quality and yield of every fish!

The TRIO FDS 3000-2 is a skinning machine for skinning fish fillets of uneven thickness and for recovery of dark meat. It works on the principle that the skin surface freezes on a cold drum. It is designed to improve skinning results with no reduction in speed, and is able to skin fillets and portions without any loss of yield. No strain is put on either the skin or the flesh, resulting in a great quality fillet.

Benefits

  • High capacity – up to 150 cod fillets/min.
  • Can be used for on different species (e.g. all kinds of whitefish, salmon, trout)
  • The entire skin surface is flattened against the cold drum
  • Works well on fillets of uneven thickness
  • Fewer skin spots and higher yield
  • Easy to adjust the cutting depth

Technical Data

  • Fish species:
Salmon, sea trout, wild coho, pink salmon, rainbow trout, Alaska pollock, hake, cod, hoki, pollock, haddock, herring, mackerel, pangasius, tilapia, sea bream, sea bass, flatfish
  • Working range (approx.):
    Unlimited
  • Throughput standard version:
    Up to 150 fillets/min.

High capacity – high throughput

  • Due to the ‘surface freezing’, the fillets are firmly positioned and do not shift during skinning/cutting – greater stability

High quality of fillets

  • No stress on meat or skin
  • Less skin spots – no gaping
  • Even good quality on soft or uneven fillets

Flexible and easy to adjust

  • The skinning depth is adjustable between 0-20 mm
  • PLC based user interface allows remote connection and reading temperature sensors
  • Alternatively, a relay based button interface version is available

High-quality of Fillets

  • The skin surface freezes to the cold drum with the help of gravity and pressure – the freeze drum technology is known for its gentle handling of fish and the ability to skin portions
  • No gaping
  • Superior skinning results compared to other competitive skinning machines in terms of fewer skin spots and higher yield
